Understanding Attendance Sessions
Attendance sessions define when a child attends nursery and which hours are funded vs paid privately.
Funded vs Paid Hours
- Funded Hours - Hours covered by government funding (15 or 30 hours)
- Paid Hours - Additional hours paid by parents
Setting Up Sessions
- Go to the child's profile and click 'Edit Attendance'
- For each day the child attends, add a session with start and end times
- Mark each session as 'Funded' or leave unchecked for paid hours
- The system will calculate total funded and paid hours automatically
Using Session Templates
Session templates allow you to quickly apply common attendance patterns. Templates can be created by administrators and applied to children to save time.
Important: Ensure total funded hours don't exceed the child's entitlement (15 or 30 hours per week).
Frequently Asked Questions
